The Weight of Air

The Weight of Air is an inhabitable civic landscape that responds gradually to human presence. At rest, its canopy releases a light intermittent mist, maintaining a subtle sense of movement and cooling within the space. A gentle touch activates a warm concealed glow beneath the selected seat, while pressure sensors increase the density of the mist above occupied areas. When participants engage opposite arms and begin to balance together, light extends across the kinetic structure and the mist expands into a shared cooling field. Rather than simply switching on or off, the installation breathes, brightens and intensifies through touch, weight and collective movement.
